How to Practice with an Electronic Tuner

Hey everyone! When my book, Improving Intonation Skills Book 1: How to Practice with an Electronic Tuner, launched it was received well and I got some great feedback. There are a lot of you out there looking to improve your intonation skills, and the exercises in this book provide a solid, effective starting point. And these exercises are not just for flutists. They can be used by all woodwind, brass, and string players, even singers!

You’ll start with using the tuner to help you chart your pitch tendencies, then learn how to use it to monitor and eventually get better control over your intonation. Want to get started on your pitch tendency chart right away? Read this article on how to get started.

I’ve made the book available in several forms for your convenience. Click on the image to the left to purchase it as an ebook from Amazon.

Clicking on this link will take you to iTunes to purchase it thorugh the iBookstore.

It’s also available through Vearsa, Scribd, Google Play, BN.com, Kobo, Copia, eSentral, Baker&Taylor, Ciando, and Gardners.

For those of you who prefer paper, I’ll work on making it available (in a much plainer form) as a digital download if people are interested. That will take a little bit of figuring out, but I am up for it. Just let me know!

And of course I intended for this book to be Book 1 in a series, so I guess I’d better get to work on Book 2, How to Get Rid of Your Tuner!
